New album from This Line: Elysium

August 10, 2017 by Garrett Tiedemann in Art Collaborative, Music
“A conception of the afterlife that developed over time, located on the western edge of the Earth by the stream of Okeanos. Maintained by some Greek religious and philosophical sects and cults. Initially separate from the realm of Hades, admission was reserved for mortals related to the gods; later expanded to those chosen by the gods - righteous, heroic, blessed to death.”

This Line has now been around for a while and continues to shift and evolve within the organic/mechanical landscape of their musical escapades. We're proud to release this most recent endeavor, which shifts closer to a classical - elongated palette of thought, then they have ever ventured, but also inches closer to an idea of living with sound than they have ever achieved.

A certain rumination of an idea, something you climb down into and find yourself rebirthed from after the fact. Rather than compress thoughts into more segmented musical moments, this is one long composition, broken up into two parts. Think of it like the musical approach of Dunkirk for the ambient in us all.

You can stream and download the album on Bandcamp and be sure to check out their other releases!
